Terms & conditions
By scheduling any service with Northwood Detailing LLC you hereby agree to all terms listed below.
-
When providing a mobile service, we need sufficient space, permission to be on-site if you are not the owner, and a safe working environment for servicing your vehicle. If these conditions are not met, we reserve the right to reschedule with a $25 fee.
-
For services at your home, please ensure all vehicles are adjusted so we can work efficiently. At our location, which is not a detail shop, customers must arrange to drop off their vehicle as we do not have a waiting room.
-
Payment must be made in full on the day of service, either in person or through an emailed invoice. Failure to pay on time will result in a 10% late charge each day.
-
A 24-hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule a service, with a $50 fee for late cancellations.
-
We reserve the right to charge up to half of the scheduled detailing service if canceled by the customer on the day of the scheduled service, unless extreme circumstances prevented the customer from keeping the appointment.
-
A $100 non-refundable retainer may be charged if the customer has canceled and rescheduled multiple times.
-
We may alter or reschedule bookings due to weather conditions or equipment failure without penalty to the company.
-
Please remove all personal belongings, money, and significant items from your vehicle before any detailing service. Areas like the center armrest storage or glove compartment must be cleared for cleaning.
-
We do not remove or replace car seats for child safety reasons. Please remove car seats and booster seats before our arrival. If left in the vehicle, we will clean around them but cannot guarantee total satisfaction.
-
Charges for detailing services may vary based on the vehicle's condition, type, and the customer's location.
-
Prices may be adjusted during the detailing process if they differ from the original quote.
-
A minimum of a 10% surcharge will be applied to all jobs involving excessive pet hair, urine, vomit, blood, feces, or other hazardous materials.
-
Pet hair and sand are challenging to remove from a vehicle with standard vacuuming. While we aim to successfully remove visual traces of these elements, we cannot guarantee complete removal.
-
We do not guarantee the removal of stains and odors from vehicles. We will make our best effort to address these issues, but some upholstery and carpets may be beyond cleaning and not fully restored. Permanent stains may exist. We may discuss with you what can and cannot be achieved regarding your vehicle's interior.
-
We strive to provide the best window cleaning service, but depending on the temperature, windows may develop a film. If you notice streaks, please allow the car to cool and use a microfiber towel to wipe off the film. We apologize for any inconvenience.
-
We are not liable for damage to heavily soiled, stained, or damaged interior components such as dash buttons and knobs. Cleaning these areas may cause buttons and knobs to lose their markings if they are caked with dirt, grime, or makeup.
-
Engine bays and sunroofs/moonroofs will only be cleaned upon request. We are not responsible for any mechanical or electrical issues that may arise from cleaning these areas, as getting them wet during the cleaning process could potentially cause problems. Please ensure your vehicle is in good mechanical and electrical condition before requesting these services.
-
We cannot foresee or be held responsible for any mechanical or electrical problems that may arise after our detailing process. If issues occur after cleaning the engine bays or sunroofs/moonroofs, we will not be held responsible.
-
The headliner is cleaned gently to avoid damaging the glue used in its construction. Remaining stains may be present as aggressive cleaning or stronger cleaners can compromise the glue, potentially causing the headliner to sag over time. Please be aware that headliners may not come completely clean due to this limitation.
-
We use only safe, non-harsh cleaning products on all interior and exterior surfaces. Our products are designed not to chemically damage carpets, leather, vinyl, plastic, painted, clear coated, or chrome surfaces.
-
We exclusively use our own detailing products and do not utilize products provided by customers.
-
We are not responsible for baked-on brake dust that cannot be fully removed from the surface or embedded deep within the wheel. Some wheels may be too soiled for standard cleaning and may require repair or replacement.
-
Bird droppings, bug splatter, sap, and tar can chemically etch into the vehicle's paint if left for an extended period, resulting in deep marks that may require additional work to safely remove. In some cases, these marks cannot be entirely eliminated without compromising the clear coat.
-
Exterior black or grey trim pieces, whether textured or smooth, may be at a point where restoration is not possible, and replacement may be necessary. We make every effort to restore these plastic pieces to their original color.
-
We do not apply dressing or coating to plastic running boards on trucks and SUVs to prevent creating a slip hazard. If you request this service, you assume all liability for any resulting slip or safety issues.
-
Any wax, sealant, or coating that is not properly maintained will not achieve its intended durability. We recommend safe hand washing to prolong the effectiveness of these protective products.
-
We value your time and property and are committed to being polite and courteous at all times. However, we reserve the right to refuse, deny, or discontinue any service if we determine a customer's demands to be unreasonable.
-
Verbal or physical abuse will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and appropriate actions will be taken if such behavior is encountered.
-
For your safety, please maintain a safe distance of at least 10-15 feet from our work area to avoid any trip or slip hazards. If you need to communicate with us while we are working on your vehicle, please ensure you get our attention from a safe distance. We are attentive to our surroundings to ensure a safe working environment.
-
If a ceramic coating has been applied to your vehicle's paint, trim, wheels, or glass and you decline our maintenance program, we will not be held responsible for any premature coating failure. It is highly recommended to have us maintain your vehicle's coating every 3-6 months to ensure its longevity, typically lasting between 1-6 years.
-
We advise opting for our maintenance detailing service at least once a year to preserve the appearance of your vehicle.
-
In the event that you choose to have your vehicle maintained every 3-6 months by us but miss a scheduled maintenance detail beyond the 6-month mark due to weather or scheduling issues, we will need to restart the maintenance program with our Maintenance Service to ensure the coating's effectiveness.
-
Please note that if you have scheduled any of our Ceramic Coating services and have agreed to pay a deposit, this deposit is non-refundable.
